Spectrum Professional Program

The professional year program is an immersive course where performers are prepared for immediate entry into the industry. This year long course draws on the students strengths and nurtures their weaknesses to produce an accomplished performer with a technique grounded in knowledge, creativity and exploration. With resident faculty and guest lecturers, Spectrum creates an authentic environment where the students are taught by current industry creatives establishing invaluable contacts before even graduating.

Duration: 12 to 24 months full time
Entry Requirements: Applicants should demonstrate an intermediate level of competency in their chosen genre of dance. It is advised that applicants have attained a Certificate IV in Dance, but entry will be considered on a case-by-case scenario.
Pathways: At completion of this course students will have achieved mastery in their field of talent and be on excellent stead to be employed in the dance company industries.

Spectrum Dance is dedicated to the growth of its students. To support this we offer annual scholarships to foster excellence in the arts. Eligible candidates must exhibit exceptional talent, potential and commitment. One full year and one half year scholarship is awarded in each year level.

Throughout the year we celebrate with mid and end of year showcases. The extravagant end of year showcase is hosted at The Palms at Crown which gives students the opportunity to perform on a professional stage/environment. Additionally, Spectrum Dance students are involved in a variety of professional industry performances throughout the year through partnership with Spectrum Talent Agency.
